PH.D., M.M.H., LCPC
In my counseling, pastoral counseling, and supervision practice, I listen to clients’ stories with attention to prayer practices, love history, and relationships with an overarching wonder about what living fully would be like for them. I factor in what I know from over 40 years of professional experience with mental health, medical psychology, and spirituality to work with the client to effect significant positive change. I look to the client’s vision of “best self” as a guide to dealing with personal and interpersonal challenges.
Being with clients as they consider their openness to God’s movements in their lives is central to my work.
I hold a Ph.D. in Pastoral Counseling from Loyola and have completed the two-year Academy for Spiritual Formation as well as the Clinical Pastoral Education program at Anne Arundel Medical Center. I also have a Master of Mental Health degree from Johns Hopkins. I have held faculty positions at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, Regent University, and Loyola University.
