As a therapist, I invite clients to address life’s challenges by gaining a new understanding of their strengths. I work to help them develop skills in the areas of improved communication, coping, conflict resolution, parenting, and self-care. When it is helpful, clients are encouraged to draw strength and hope from their faith community, spiritual practices, or religious tradition.
I am experienced in working with individuals, couples, and families, along with clients who are veterans, who identify as LGBTQ, and who are seeking healing from trauma.
II hold a Master of Social Work from the University of Cincinnati. My undergraduate work at Xavier University included theological study and co-curricular faith and justice activities.
As a clinician, I employ evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and mindfulness practice.
I bring over 30 years of life experience to my clinical practice, having raised children, worked in health care and higher education, and lived overseas in Europe, Asia, and Africa.
